2. Definitions

Retreat Leader
The person guiding the retreat or quiet day, facilitating sessions and supporting your spiritual journey during the retreat.

Retreat Participant / You
The person booking and attending the retreat.

We / Us
Eden Christian Retreats.

3. Booking Policy

Before booking, please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. Booking confirms your understanding and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, creating a binding agreement between you and us.

3.1 Booking Process

Book online via our website or contact us by email or phone. Full payment is required at booking.

3.2 Group Bookings

For groups, please contact us directly. Payment in full is required upon booking.

3.3 Suitability

All retreat programs are limited to persons aged 18 years and above.

Ensure the retreat fits your needs. Contact us if you have special requirements.

4. Booking Confirmation

After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation email with retreat details.

  • Check your confirmation carefully

  • Notify us immediately of any errors

If we cannot accept your booking, we’ll inform you and refund the amount you have paid.

5. Cancellation Policy

We understand that circumstances can change. If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us in writing as soon as possible by email.

The following charges will apply depending on how much notice you give before the retreat start date:


Notice Period Before Start Cancellation Fee (% of Total Cost)

More than 63 days 30%

63 to 43 days 65%

42 to 29 days 85%

28 days or fewer 100% (no refund)

Any eligible refund will be processed promptly, minus an administration fee of £10.00 per booking cancelled.

We recommend that participants take out appropriate travel or retreat insurance at their own expense, to cover unexpected changes or cancellations.

6. Cooling-Off Period

Retreat bookings are exempt from the 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

7. Changes or Cancellation by Us

We may make minor changes (e.g., schedule or facilitator) and will notify you where possible.

We reserve the right to cancel due to:

  • Events beyond our control

  • Low enrolment

  • Illness or emergency involving the Retreat Leader

If cancelled, you will receive a full refund of the amount you have paid. We are not responsible for other costs.

8. Participant Responsibilities

By booking you agree to:

  • Act respectfully and kindly

  • Maintain confidentiality

  • Avoid discrimination, harassment, or disruptive behaviour

  • Respect others’ privacy (no photos or recordings (visual/audio) without permission)

  • Keep phones silent

  • Not bring children or pets (except approved assistance animals – please contact us prior to booking)

  • Seek prior approval for vulnerable adults attending with a responsible adult

9. Dietary Requirements

Please notify us of any dietary needs at booking. Changes must be sent in writing at least 5 working days before the retreat. We manage the catering for the retreat only — please inform your accommodation provider separately.

Your booking includes refreshments throughout the day and lunch.

10. If There’s a Problem

Please report concerns promptly to the Retreat Leader so we can help.

11. Limitation of Liability

We cannot be held liable for:

  • Other participants’ actions

  • Services not organised by us (e.g., accommodation)

  • Uncontrollable events (natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, etc.)

  • Personal expenses due to cancellations or changes

  • Injuries or illness resulting from not following guidelines

You attend at your own risk and responsibility.

12. Medical Conditions & Access

Inform us of any medical or accessibility needs before booking to ensure suitability.

13. Health and Safety

As a participant, you agree to:

  1. Follow all health and safety guidance by organisers and venue staff.

  2. Engage safely and respectfully, honouring limits and boundaries.

  3. Disclose any health conditions that may affect participation. Take responsibility for your well-being.

  4. Note and follow emergency instructions promptly.

  5. No illegal substances, alcohol, or misuse of medication on-site.

  6. Smoking and vaping is not permitted inside buildings. Use designated outdoor areas safely.

  7. Parking is at your own risk.

  8. Participate within your comfort level and follow safety guidance.

14. Privacy & Data

Your data will be handled per our Privacy Policy. By booking, you consent to this.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
